It’s not every day that a food chain restaurant sets the internet ablaze with a mind-boggling creation. But on March 21, Little Caesars decided to surprise and shock consumers by introducing an innovative item to their menu – the Corncob Crust pizza.
The announcement was made across Little Caesars’ social media platforms, accompanied by a dedicated marketing video. They truly went all out. Alongside the surprise reveal, the restaurant playfully anticipated the grateful words they expected from consumers, claiming, “It’s the crust the world craves. You’re welcome, America.”
According to the video, this pizza’s crust is made from actual corn on the cob, adorned with pats of butter on top and sprinkled with corn kernels for that final touch. And to take the experience to another level, each order includes a two-liter bottle of liquified butter for dipping or, well, drinking if that’s your thing.
Of course, as one might have guessed, this whole concept is nothing more than a playful joke from Little Caesars. It’s their way of teasing customers about the highly requested return of the Pretzel Crust pizza. Yet, a few people were left slightly confused, momentarily forgetting that it’s not April Fools’ Day.
Reactions to this hypothetical new item are divided, with some Twitter users deeming it an abomination and questioning who would ever ask for such a thing.
On the other hand, there are some brave souls who are willing to embrace the unknown and give the Corncob Crust pizza a shot – if it ever becomes a reality, that is.
For now, food adventurers will have to live with the disappointment of the Corncob Crust pizza remaining a fictional creation. But who knows, Little Caesars may consider making it a reality someday. After all, stranger things have happened.
