Quick and Easy Boneless Pork Ribs in the Oven Recipe

You don’t have to spend hours baking boneless country-style pork ribs low and slow to achieve tender and delicious results. In just 35 minutes, you can enjoy these quick and easy oven-baked ribs.

A Delicious Twist – Boneless Pork Ribs In Oven

While I typically make country-style ribs with a classic BBQ sauce coating, a recent request from my father-in-law inspired me to try a Cajun twist. The results were so mouthwatering that I couldn’t resist sharing the recipe with all of you!

The combination of oregano, thyme, garlic, onion, and paprika (which gives it that beautiful color) creates an amazing flavor. A touch of cayenne pepper adds just the right amount of spice, making these ribs enjoyable for everyone, even the little ones.

These boneless pork ribs turn out beautifully in just 34 minutes in the oven. They are juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. Plus, with such minimal prep and cook time, it almost feels too good to be true!

Homemade Spice Rub and Key Ingredients

The magic of this recipe lies in the homemade spice blend. Combining paprika, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne pepper creates the perfect seasoning for the country-style ribs. The Cajun-inspired flavor is not overpowering, making it enjoyable for all taste preferences. For those who prefer a sweeter rub, feel free to add some brown sugar.

It’s important to use boneless country-style ribs for this recipe if you want to achieve the quick cook time listed. However, if you don’t mind longer cooking times, bone-in ribs can also be used.

The thickness of the ribs will affect the cooking time, so aim for ribs that are approximately 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 inches thick.

While the BBQ sauce is optional, it adds extra flavor and can be enjoyed in two ways. You can either dip the baked ribs in BBQ sauce or coat the ribs in BBQ sauce before broiling them for a delicious caramelized finish.

Easy Steps to Bake Country-Style Ribs

Start by preheating your oven. Next, prepare the homemade spice blend by mixing all the spices together in a small bowl.

Place the boneless pork ribs in a casserole dish in a single layer. Sprinkle half of the spice blend over the ribs and massage it in to ensure it adheres well. Flip the ribs and repeat the process with the remaining spice blend.

Bake the ribs uncovered in the preheated oven. Once cooked, transfer the ribs to a rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, leaving the juices behind. If desired, coat the ribs in BBQ sauce and broil them until they’re cooked through, golden, and slightly crispy on the outside.

Alternatively, you can also use an air fryer to crisp up the ribs instead of broiling them. Find the full written instructions, including ingredient amounts, cooking times, and helpful tips, in the recipe card below.

Cooking Time and Temperature

These boneless ribs only require 35 minutes in the oven, thanks to their thickness and optimal cooking temperature of 325°F. This quick cook time still yields excellent texture and flavor.

For fall-apart tender ribs, adjust the cooking time by covering the dish with aluminum foil and baking for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. This will result in fork-tender ribs. Then, proceed with the broiling instructions for that perfect finishing touch.

What Are Boneless Country-Style Pork Ribs?

Contrary to their name, country-style ribs do not actually come from the ribs. This pork cut is taken from the shoulder area of the pig and is known for its flavorful and tender qualities. After cooking, they resemble the taste and consistency of baby back ribs or spare ribs. In some regions, they are also referred to as Western ribs.

Determining When Ribs Are Cooked

Pork is safe to eat when its internal temperature reaches 145°F as measured by an instant-read meat thermometer. However, due to the marbling and fat content of country-style ribs, allowing them to reach a slightly higher internal temperature will enhance the taste and tenderness.
